VENICE GREEN TERMINAL is the name of the new REEFER TERMINAL in the Port of Venice , fully dedicated to preishable products , specially fruit & vegetables.

Venice Green Terminal is a company composed by 10 venetians freight forwarders managed by Andrea Cosentino, president of Assoped Venice (the freight forwarders association) and owner of Veneta lombarda Spedizioni.

The brand new reefer terminal will be ready in February 2011 for an investment of 3 milion euros, and will have a total surface of 13.500 sq.mt , with first warehouse of 3.500 sq.mt. for a initial capacity for 2.000 pallets.

This new infrastructure shall complete the offer of logistics services given by Veneta Lombarda Spedizioni to the Customers  through the Port of Venice.

The range of activities include the sea-transport of reefer containers from country of origin to destination, the unstuffing of containers and the distribution of products, as well as the Door to Door service Egypt/Europe and vice-versa with reefer trailers, providing with phyto-sanitary and custom formalities for import/export or transit of fresh products.

The 44 years of experience in these services are the best guarantee for our Customer, even included the ISO 9001/2008 Quality certification by DNV-Det Norske Veritas.

The Venice Green Terminal project has been supported by Port Authority of Venice as part of the general project for the Green Corridor between Italy and Egypt.
